The Opportunity
A well-established main contractor is seeking an experienced Package or Project Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a major £100m civil and infrastructure scheme in West London.
The project is currently progressing through key delivery stages and offers the opportunity to work on a complex, high-profile infrastructure development with significant long-term prospects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for the commercial management of key work packages whilst supporting the wider commercial team in delivering the project successfully.
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Package QS looking to step into a Project QS role, or an experienced Project QS seeking a long-term freelance position with a leading contractor.

Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of allocated work packages from procurement through to final account
- Preparation of forecasts, cost reports, and monthly valuations
- Management of subcontractor procurement and package tendering
- Administration and management of subcontractor accounts
- Identification and management of commercial risks and opportunities
- Management of variations, change control, and compensation events
- Ensure compliance with commercial processes and reporting requirements
- Build strong working relationships with the project delivery, client, and supply chain teams

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Package Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor
- Background working on civil engineering, infrastructure, highways, rail, utilities, or major construction projects
- Experience managing subcontractor packages and accounts
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- NEC contract experience would be advantageous but is not essential
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Main contractor experience preferred
- Available to commence work in the short term
