Job Description

Quantity Surveyor – Healthcare Projects - Modular Construction – Cheshire - Up to £65,000 plus car allowance 
 
 Summary 
 Our client, a national modular build contractor specialising in healthcare projects within the NHS framework, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to manage one of their active project sites. The projects range in value from £5 million to £15 million, focusing on modular construction solutions for the healthcare sector. 
 The successful candidate will be responsible for the full commercial management of the project, ensuring cost control, risk management, and contractual compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This role requires the ability to work independently on site, managing budgets, subcontractor payments, valuations, and final accounts, while providing detailed progress reports and commercial advice. 
 Key Responsibilities 
 • Manage all quantity surveying duties on site, including measurement, valuations, and cost control 
 • Work within the NHS framework and modular construction environment 
 • Perform risk and value management to optimise project outcomes 
 • Prepare and analyse costings for tenders and subcontractor packages 
 • Manage subcontractor payments and valuations accurately and timely 
 • Oversee cash flow and budget management to ensure financial targets are met 
 • Generate detailed monthly project profit and loss reports 
 • Submit and negotiate final accounts with clients and subcontractors 
 • Provide advice and support on contractual claims and variations 
 
 Candidate Requirements 
 • Proven experience in a construction-based Quantity Surveyor role 
 • Modular construction experience is highly desirable 
 • Must be able to manage own sites independently without supervision 
 • Strong knowledge of contract administration and commercial management 
 • NHS framework experience (desirable)
