Quantity Surveyor – Planned Maintenance

Ealing | LB Ealing Contract | Up to £55,000 + Package

A well-respected and established planned maintenance contractor is looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a long-term London Borough of Ealing contract, delivering a programme of external refurbishment works across scattered residential properties throughout Ealing.

The works will include roof replacements, window replacements and concrete repairs, making this an excellent opportunity for a QS with experience in planned maintenance, external works or social housing.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for the successful delivery of multiple external works projects across scattered residential properties.

You will work closely with the operational team, client and supply chain to manage costs, maximise commercial performance and ensure works are delivered in line with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  * Managing the commercial performance of external planned maintenance works

  * Commercial management of roof replacements, window replacements and concrete repairs

  * Preparing and managing valuations, applications for payment and final account

  * Managing subcontractor accounts and payments

  * Cost control, forecasting and financial reporting

  * Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor quotations

  * Monitoring project expenditure against budgets

  * Preparing monthly CVRs and commercial reports

  * Liaising with the London Borough of Ealing and other key stakeholders

  * Maintaining accurate commercial records and contract documentation

  * Supporting the wider team with procurement and supply-chain management

About You

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within planned maintenance, refurbishment or social housing

  * Experience in external works would be highly advantageous

  * Knowledge of roofing, windows, concrete repairs or similar building maintenance works

  * Previous experience working with housing associations or local authority clients

  * Experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and final accounts

  * Excellent numerical, analytical and organisational skills

  * Strong communication and negotiation skills

  * Relevant QS qualification or equivalent commercial experience
