Job Description
Barnsley Recruitment Services are looking for a Quantity Surveyor for our client a specialist contractor in social housing reactive maintenance, landlord property refurbishment, and shopfitting, is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team based in Swadlincote. This role involves managing projects across the East and West Midlands, combining office-based work with occasional site visits.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, submit, and agree monthly valuations for projects
• Identify, price, and notify relevant parties of variations
• Conduct take-offs and measurements for social housing reactive maintenance tasks
• Procure materials required for the works
• Negotiate and prepare final accounts with clients and contractors
• Provide monthly commercial performance reports, highlighting risks and opportunities
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
• Attend progress reviews and provide commercial input
Candidate Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction, maintenance, or refurbishment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Well-organised and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
