Quantity Surveyor
Andover, Hampshire
On-going contract
Part-time, 2-3 days per week
We have a part-time position available for an experienced QS to join a rapidly growing construction/civils/landscaping company in Andover. You will be assisting their existing team and adding value where applicable for multiple Tier 1 projects.
This company have experienced a 500% growth over the past 2 years and they are only just getting started!
This position will be 2-3 days per week, office based. Potential for some hybrid working which can be discussed in more detail. Experience working with Tier 1 contractors or projects is absolutely necessary as this is what they are mostly looking for in their perfect new addition.
Duties include –
* Working along-side existing team including estimator to assist and add value to Tier 1 projects
* Calculating material quantities and costs, labour costs and an achievable project timeframe
* Negotiating labour contracts and schedules
* Advising clients and crew on legal matters and disputes
* Monitoring subcontractors, safety practices, construction progress and material needs, including any changes which may impact costs
* Preparing labour and supplier accounts for payment
* Writing reports detailing costs and progress for clients
