Job Description

Ivy Resource Group are recruiting for a talented and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a range of exciting construction projects across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. Our client is a reputable and fast-growing contractor looking for a commercially astute professional to join their team on a permanent basis. The Role Entails: This is a key commercial role responsible for the financial management and contractual compliance of multiple construction projects. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to manage costs, mitigate risk, and ensure commercial success across each phase of the project lifecycle. What You Will Be Doing: Lead commercial management on a portfolio of construction projects Produce cost plans, budgets, tender documents, and valuations Procure subcontractor packages and manage contract administration Monitor costs, progress, variations, and project performance Prepare and present accurate commercial reports and forecasts Ensure compliance with JCT and NEC contract frameworks Mentor junior QS staff and support team development Engage with clients and consultants to maintain transparency and trust Contribute to identifying commercial opportunities and managing project risks What We Need From You: Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Senior QS role within UK construction Strong knowledge of JCT and NEC contracts Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills Proficient in MS Office and commercial tools such as Excel, Bluebeam, or CostX Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline Chartered or working towards chartership (RICS or equivalent) preferred Project or contracts management experience is highly desirable Local knowledge of the Gloucestershire region is a bonus Salary & Benefits: Competitive salary - negotiable based on experience Company car or car allowance Private healthcare options Pension scheme Ongoing CPD and support with professional accreditation Collaborative, supportive working culture How to Apply: Submit your CV Call / Text / WhatsApp Robbie on (phone number removed) for a confidential conversation.
