Job Description
Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol/Newport
Salary: Competitive DOE + Car Allowance + Fuel Card + Bonus Scheme
We're looking for an experienced and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified professional with a strong background in construction, refurbishment, or void contracts to take full commercial responsibility for projects from inception through to completion.

What You'll Be Doing:
Oversee and manage all financial and technical aspects of construction contracts
Lead projects from start to finish, ensuring commercial success and contract compliance
Measure, price, and evaluate tenders
Maximise project value while minimising costs
Manage cost planning, forecasting, and CVR reporting
Identify margin improvement opportunities
Produce and submit accurate applications for payment
Administer subcontractor and supplier contracts
Monitor project progress and ensure timely payments and collections
Support health & safety compliance across all works
What We're Looking For:
Relevant professional qualification (e.g. HNC/HND/Degree/Diploma or equivalent)
Experience in construction, retrofit, refurbishment, or fabric upgrade projects preferred
Strong knowledge of bills of quantities, schedules of rates, and design & build contracts
Proven experience in commercial management and subcontractor procurement
Confident in producing accurate monthly reports and financial forecasts
Ability to work independently while supporting and collaborating with the wider team
Strong time management and organisational skills
Experienced in managing both direct and subcontract labour
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software
