Job Title: Project Quantity Surveyor
Location: Kent Office (2/3 days) / City of London Site (2/3 days)
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 + Travel to Site + Pension
Project: £60m Cut & Carve Commercial Refurbishment
We are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected privately owned building, refurbishment, and fit out contractor to support the recruitment of an Intermediate / Project Quantity Surveyor for a landmark £60 million cut & carve commercial refurbishment project in the City of London.

With nearly 50 years of industry expertise, this contractor has built a reputation for delivering excellence across a range of sectors, from new build to complex cut and carve, high-end refurbishment, and fit out schemes ranging in value from £100k to £100 million.
Operating from offices in London and Kent, the company boasts a loyal client base and a strong pipeline of secured work, predominantly within London and the Southeast, and occasionally nationwide for repeat clients. Their operations are structured across four specialist divisions:
* Construction
* Fit Out & Refurbishment
* MEP
* Special Works
With a particular focus on high-quality commercial fit out and refurbishment, the team is known for its collaborative culture, attention to detail, and ability to exceed expectations.
Recent Projects Include:
* £2.5m – Complete refurbishment and extension of a Grade II listed building converted to office space
* £15m+ – 75,000 sq ft CAT A office fit out, BREEAM “Excellent” across 7 floors
* £8m – Cut & carve refurbishment and reconfiguration of a landmark London commercial property
The Role
You will play a key commercial role on a flagship cut & carve refurbishment project valued at £60 million, managing all quantity surveying responsibilities including:
* Procurement of subcontract packages
* Cost planning and control
* Valuations and variations
* Managing subcontractor payments and final accounts
* Working closely with the project and delivery teams to ensure financial performance aligns with expectations
About You
We are seeking a driven Intermediate or Project-level Quantity Surveyor who has:
* Experience on cut & carve or major refurbishment projects in a main contractor environment
* A solid grounding in UK construction contracts and commercial processes
* Confidence in managing commercial packages autonomously
* A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
* Degree qualification or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field
