Job Description
Location: Hertfordshire
Travel: Occasional site visits to London projects (frequency dependent on location)
Salary: £50,000 - £70,000 plus benefits package (dependant on experience)
🔧 Key Responsibilities
*
Prepare cost plans, budgets, and procurement schedules for domestic and commercial refurbishment projects
*
Administer contracts, issue valuations, manage variations, and prepare final accounts
*
Monitor project spend, forecast costs, and invoice clients accurately
*
Review subcontractor quotations and assist in tender assessments
*
Liaise with clients, site teams, and other stakeholders on commercial matters
*
Conduct risk assessments and financial evaluations during project delivery
*
Ensure compliance with public-sector procurement frameworks, contract standards, and quality requirements
*
Support fire-safety works (including FRA), internal/external refurbishments, retrofit and decarbonisation initiatives, specialist roofing, and M&E upgrades
*
Produce commercial reports for senior management and project teams
🎯 Ideal Candidate
*
Experience in refurbishment, maintenance, fire-safety, or retrofit projects preferred
*
Strong grasp of public-sector contracting, JCT, NEC, or similar frameworks
*
Proficiency in cost analysis, valuation, and reporting
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
*
Able to manage multiple priorities and work proactively in a fast-paced environment
*
Willing to travel occasionally to London-based sites
