Job Description
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established client in Rugby who is looking for a proactive and knowledgeable Quantity Surveyor to join their team
They are ideally looking for someone with groundworks and fencing experience however this isn't essential.
Roles and Responsibilities
• Take offs and Measures
o Measure a project and take off what materials are required.
o Pricing of the BOQ and checking.
• Pricing of Variations
o As changes are made on site these need to be priced and agreed.
• Submission of monthly applications
o Monthly application for works completed for payment.
• Submission of tenders
o Create tender submission and return having reviewed with internal team.
o Chase for updates and feedback
o Meetings as required on teams or in person
• Communicating with clients Commercial department
o Meetings and discussions on all commercial aspects through the project, pre-starts, application reviews, final Accounts etc.
• Attending meetings
o Pre-starts
o Application Reviews
o Final Accounts
• Forecasting project commercially
o Looking at where projects are, what has been claimed to date, what is remaining and how that can be allocated to resources throughout the remainder of the project.
• Reporting projects and communicating within the business
o All of the items above being communicated through other persons in the business, through meetings and discussions.
• Reviewing Rates and agreeing rates with Clients
o Review agreed rates for works, decide if additional rates are required, if rates need to increase etc
• Internal Reporting
o All of the above to other people within the business
• Chasing of payments
o Tracking payments received and then chasing those that are late.
