ROLE: Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering
LOCATION: Mid-Kent
SALARY: Circa £50,000 - £70,000 DOE

Due to continued growth, they are seeking a skilled and motivated Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team.
THE JOB
This exciting Quantity Surveyor job will play a key role in managing the financial aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring cost control, value engineering, and contractual compliance. You will work closely with project teams, clients, and suppliers to support the successful delivery of projects within budget and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for civil engineering projects.
* Manage contracts and procurement, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
* Conduct risk analysis and value engineering to optimise project costs.
* Assess and process variations, claims, and final accounts.
* Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure efficient cost management.
* Monitor project progress and report on financial performance.
* Support the tendering process by preparing detailed cost breakdowns and BOQs.
* Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience in quantity surveying within the civil engineering sector.
* Strong understanding of construction contracts (NEC, JCT, or equivalent).
* Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
