We’re working with a well-established SME construction business based near Solihull, Birmingham, who are seeking an experienced Intermediate Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
With a strong reputation across the PFI education sector, modular builds, and large-scale residential developments, this is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking company delivering high-quality, multi-disciplinary projects across the Midlands.
The Role
As Intermediate Quantity Surveyor, you’ll work closely with senior commercial staff to manage costs and contracts across a range of projects – typically school extensions under PFI frameworks, modular construction schemes, and multi-million-pound residential builds.
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans
*
Working with NEC contracts across various sectors
*
Supporting the tendering and procurement process
*
Measuring and valuing works, variations, and applications
*
Assisting with cost reporting and final accounts
*
Supporting some estimating work (advantageous)
What We’re Looking For
*
5+ years’ experience in the UK construction industry
*
Exposure to NEC contracts is essential
*
Multi-disciplinary project experience
*
Ideally some involvement in estimating or pre-construction
*
Excellent communication and commercial awareness
*
A proactive and flexible approach
