Quantity Surveyor – Exeter
📍 Based in Exeter, covering projects across Devon
💰 Up to £60,000 + Package
🕒 Full-time | Permanent
Are you an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a passion for sustainability and energy efficiency? We’re working with a leading contractor in the South West who is delivering high-impact energy efficient projects — and they’re looking for a skilled professional to join their growing team.
The Opportunity:
This is a fantastic chance to take a key commercial role in delivering retrofit projects that include insulation upgrades (EWI/IWI/CWI), heat pumps, solar panels, roofing, and more. You'll collaborate closely with delivery teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are commercially sound and completed efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Managing commercial aspects of retrofit contracts from tender through completion
Forecasting, CVRs, cost control, and margin optimisation
Procurement and administration of subcontractor packages
Preparing valuations and applications for payment
Supporting project teams in delivering to time and budget
Driving best practice in cost and commercial management
Requirements:
HNC/HND/Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or related field
Solid experience working on retrofit or energy efficiency schemes
Strong understanding of pricing, BoQs, SoRs, and D&B contracts
Skilled in CVR reporting and financial forecasting
A proactive and collaborative approach with excellent communication skills
Competence with Excel and commercial tools
