Job Description

Quantity Surveyor – Residential Developer Salary – Up to £55,000 (Depending on Experience) + Car Allowance, Bonus, Healthcare Location: Bury St Edmunds About the Company: Our client a regional housebuilder with 5 star HBF status who have a reputation for building distinctive, sustainable new homes. They build a diverse range of home styles and sizes, but every property they create is thoughtfully planned, expertly designed, and built to exceptional standards. About the Role: Our client is currently looking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor. At present they are expanding their business and have many new projects starting in the East Anglia Area. Your duties will include but not limited too: * Prepare draft budgets and site start budgets for each project assigned to the Quantity Surveyor. * Generate quarterly valuations and conduct material “cost to complete” assessments for each site under the Quantity Surveyor’s responsibility. * Process sub-contract payments and final accounts, ensuring they are signed off by the sub-contractor. * Create sub-contract orders, ensuring they are authorized by the designated representative and include all necessary documentation to comply with Group Commercial Policy. * Manage cost control and monitor changes effectively. About the benefits / rewards: The salary will be dependent on the level of exposure to the residential industry. The company offers excellent opportunities and offers a basic salary in the region of up to £55k DOE. In addition to the basic salary there will be further company benefits including car allowance and bonus. Requirements: • Degree preferred • Performed a similar role for a residential developer • Current CSCS card or equivalent is desirable • A keen interest in construction • Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team • Excellent attention to detail and demonstrates ability to meet deadlines • IT literate and the ability to adapt to new systems • Committed to diversity and inclusion
