Job Title: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Glasgow, Scotland
About Us:
Contract Scotland is working with a leading provider of logistics, construction, and civil engineering solutions in Central Scotland. With a proud heritage and a reputation for delivering quality projects safely, on time, and within budget, we are now looking to expand to their Construction Division with the addition of a talented Quantity Surveyor based in the Glasgow office.
The Role:
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of a variety of infrastructure and construction projects. You will be involved from tender stage through to final account, ensuring maximum value is delivered while managing costs and risks.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, submit, and manage interim and final valuations
Monitor and control project budgets and costs
Prepare and negotiate subcontractor packages
Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and change control processes
Liaise with project teams, clients, and supply chain partners
Ensure compliance with contractual and legal requirements
Produce accurate reporting and forecasting
Requirements:
Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction discipline
Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role, ideally on groundworks packages
Strong commercial acumen with good negotiation and analytical skills
Familiarity with NEC and other standard forms of contract
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Full UK driving licence
