Our client is one of the UK's leading privately owned infrastructure specialists and Main Contractors, delivering projects and frameworks across the UK.
As a key member of the team reporting into the Commercial Lead, you will liaise with the client commercial team and representatives, subcontractors and other third parties on commercial issues, including the agreement of variations, claims and any additional payments.
Quantity Surveyor roles and responsibilities:
Support the robust, accurate and timely cost and value reporting at both project and business unit level.
Work with project delivery teams to forecast predicted spend and cash recovery and ensure that both are kept in line with the target.
Assist in cost management including forecasting, updating the monthly CVR, cost and commercial plans.
Be responsible for subcontract letting, negotiation and financial accounting, and preparing applications for payment.Quantity Surveyor requirements:
Previous civil engineering &/or infrastructure sector experience, with circa 2 years water industry experience.
Degree or HNC/HND Quantity Surveying or construction related qualification.
Familiarity with NEC forms of contract.
Previous experience procuring and managing subcontractors.
Able to produce accurate monthly forecasting, able to challenge resources and costs, and maintain deadlines in line with the monthly commercial calendar.
Excellent communication, numeric and computer literacy skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.Quantity Surveyor Benefits:
