ABOUT THE ROLE
We are currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our client’s commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile projects involving structural alterations, demolition, steel frame installation, and groundworks. The successful candidate will play a vital role in cost management, procurement, contract administration, and commercial reporting to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities:

Preparation and management of cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts for structural works projects
*
Measurement and valuation of variations and claims
*
Commercial management including tender preparation, procurement, and subcontractor negotiations
*
Contract administration and ensuring compliance with contract terms
*
Risk management and cost control throughout project lifecycles
*
Liaison with project managers, site teams, clients, and suppliers to support successful project delivery
*
Preparation of interim valuations, final accounts, and regular financial reporting
*
Supporting health, safety, quality, and sustainability initiatives in line with company standards
The ideal candidate will have the below skills:

Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and commercial management principles
*
Ability to work effectively in complex urban environments with multiple stakeholders
*
Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
*
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing priorities
*
Proficiency in industry-standard software for measurement and reporting
REQUIREMENTS
Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (e.g., RICS accreditation) or equivalent
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the structural works or civil engineering sector.
Have experience working with a Main Contractor
