Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor – Social Housing Repairs & Voids Works Location: South West London (Hybrid: office, site & home working) Benefits: 27 days holiday + bank holidays, employer pension, structured learning & development programme About the Role? We’re looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join a Commercial Team of a leading Principal Contractor to support the delivery of a £35m pa repairs and void works Contract. This role is key to ensuring all commercial and financial activity runs smoothly, with a strong focus on accurate use of the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR). You’ll work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to improve commercial performance, add value, and maintain compliance with both client and contract requirements. Key Responsibilities * Applying NHF SOR: Price repairs and voids correctly, using your knowledge of NHF Schedule of Rates to maintain accuracy and consistency. * Commercial Delivery: Support the Project Surveyor with the day-to-day management of commercial tasks and implementation of procedures. * Billing & Revenue: Manage invoicing for Out-of-Scope works, track revenue, and ensure billing is completed on time. * Client Applications & Variations: Prepare monthly client applications for submission, process variations within required time frames, and provide full supporting documentation. * Subcontractor Liaison: Gather and verify subcontractor applications, process payments, and ensure compliance with contract obligations. * Financial Reporting: Contribute to budgets, quarterly forecasts, and cost reporting, supplying accurate data for business reviews. * Stakeholder Communication: Produce reports for internal and client meetings, supporting transparency and strong working relationships. * Performance Analysis: Collate data for CVRs, PMPs, and CRM reporting, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement. * Process Improvement: Work with operational teams to streamline procedures, ensuring alignment with both company and council standards. What We’re Looking For? * Strong working knowledge of the NHF Schedule of Rates (SOR). * Previous experience in repairs, maintenance, or voids (social housing background desirable). * Sound understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial processes. * Excellent organisational skills with a sharp eye for detail. * Strong communicator with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and stakeholders. * Flexible approach with the ability to work from office, site, and home environments.
