Job Description
My client are a forward‑looking construction specialist with over 50 years of collective experience. They deliver tailored solutions in specialised render, steel framing systems, cladding, and internal drylining.
The Role
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the financial outcomes of high‑quality façade and internal finishing projects. You'll manage cost control from early-stage estimates right through to final account settlements.
Key Responsibilities
*
Produce accurate cost plans, budgets, cash flows, and financial forecasts
*
Handle valuations, variations, and subcontractor payments
*
Lead contract administration, including NEC (or equivalent) forms
*
Provide commercial insight and risk analysis to support planning and delivery
*
Collaborate with project managers, estimators, and site teams to drive cost-effective solutions
*
Support continuous improvement in procurement and cost efficiency
What We’re Looking For
*
Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar; RICS (or equivalent) preferred
*
At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role—ideally within internal/external finishing, façade systems, or civil infrastructure
*
Strong familiarity with NEC contracts, cost-control systems, and procurement strategies
*
Sharp analytical skills paired with excellent negotiation and communication ability
*
Proactive, detail‑oriented, with capability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
