We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a committed and detail-oriented Assistant Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their growing team.
About the Role:
This is a full-time, office-based role located in Billericay, with regular travel to sites across London. The successful candidate will support the commercial team in preparing tenders, managing project costs, and assisting with subcontractor and supplier coordination on various groundwork and civil engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions
*
Support in managing subcontractor packages, valuations, and variations
*
Conduct site visits and carry out measurement take-offs
*
Liaise with suppliers, clients, and site teams
*
Ensure compliance with contract requirements and industry standards
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
*
Previous experience in groundworks or related civil engineering projects
*
Background in Quantity Surveying, Estimating, or construction cost management
*
Strong analytical and numerical skills
*
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
*
Excellent organisational and communication skills
*
Full UK driving licence (required)
