Senior Quantity Surveyor – £14m Commercial Build – Lincoln HQ

We’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our Lincoln-based team this September, overseeing a high-profile build under a JCT contract. You’ll be the commercial lead from day one, with the autonomy to shape outcomes and the support to grow.
Role Overview
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage the financial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring value, compliance, and profitability. You’ll work closely with site teams, subcontractors, and clients to keep the build on track and within budget.
Key Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:
* Lead all commercial aspects of the project from start to finish
* Prepare and manage detailed budgets and cost plans
* Procure subcontractors and evaluate tender submissions
* Administer JCT contracts and manage contract variations
* Produce accurate financial and progress reports
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams
* Submit valuations and final accounts
* Identify and mitigate commercial risks
* Provide commercial guidance to site teams
* Ensure compliance with company procedures and industry standards
* Monitor and report on cost/value reconciliations
* Support project forecasting and cash flow management
* Maintain strong documentation and audit trails
* Mentor junior Quantity Surveyors and commercial staff
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor (Senior or Intermediate level)
* Main contractor experience preferred
* Strong understanding of JCT contracts
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Ability to work independently and lead commercial delivery
