Project Quantity Surveyor – Birmingham
📍 Location: Birmingham
🏗️ Project: £50m Multi-Room Residential Scheme

We are working with a growing contractor who is seeking an experienced Project Quantity Surveyor to take commercial lead on a £50m multi-room residential development in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with strong growth plans and play a key role on a landmark project.
The Role
As the lead QS, you will:
*
Take full commercial ownership of a £50m project, reporting into the QS responsible for the Birmingham region.
*
Manage all packages from structure, to fit-out, to MEP services.
*
Operate with initiative and independence, without the need for heavy guidance.
*
Lead contractual administration under the JCT form of contract (Main and Sub-Contract), including:
*
Delay processing
*
Payment mechanisms
*
Change control
*
Collateral warranties
*
Ensure all core QS skills are delivered to the highest standard: measurement, procurement, cost management, and technical reporting.
*
Produce high-quality reports and commercial documentation with strong attention to presentation and detail.
About You
*
Minimum 8 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
*
Proven background working on large-scale residential projects.
*
Strong commercial and contractual knowledge, particularly with JCT contracts.
*
Able to manage all procurement and subcontractor packages with minimal supervision.
*
Professional, detail-driven, and takes pride in the quality of work.
*
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
