Job Description
Freelance Quantity Surveyor – £30m Residential project - Dorset
This leading Tier 1 main contractor has an immediate requirement for a freelance Quantity Surveyor to work on 3-month initial contract.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will work on site near Poole, Dorset working alongside an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor.
The project is a new build residential development consisting of houses and an RC Frame block of apartments. You will as a Quantity Surveyor have main contracting experience and will be capable of running a variety of sub-contractor accounts among other commercial activities.
Although this is a freelance contract initially, this company are very busy and do have a commercial need longer term, so this is likely to transfer to a permanent position if open to that option.
Being a leading national business, you will have worked for another Tier 1 company and have knowledge and experience of procedures that a Tier 1 usually has for procedures.
You must be residing a reasonable commute from Dorset and have a UK construction qualification. At least 5yrs working as a Quantity Surveyor is a good indicator of the level of experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role.
