Your new role
Our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team based in Welshpool. You will play a key role in managing costs, contracts, and commercial activities across a variety of D&B projects, ensuring financial efficiency and contractual compliance from inception through to completion.
Responsibilities will include:
Managing and controlling project expenditure, ensuring robust cost control, monitoring, and reporting.
Reconciling site costs and producing accurate monthly cost reports and profit forecasts.
Carrying out site measurements and preparing monthly payment applications/invoices.
Supporting the delivery team in day-to-day project activities.
Collaborating with client representatives to submit and agree variations.
Pricing variations and new works from first principles.
Conducting subcontractor analysis, preparing and managing subcontract agreements.
Assisting the estimating team with tender preparation and cost planning.
What you will need to succeed:
Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally with exposure to D&B projects in affordable housing, education, commercial, and healthcare sectors.
Track record of managing new build and refurbishment schemes up to £8 million.
Strong client-facing skills, confident and professional in all interactions.
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook essential).
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites as required.
