£55,000 – £65,000 + Package
Permanent Role | Residential Developer
Hill McGlynn is proud to be working with a successful and design-led residential developer based in Sevenoaks, Kent. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding commercial team and play a key role in delivering high-quality housing projects across the region.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially driven QS with a residential background to step into a stable, long-term role within a reputable and growing business.
The Role:
As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage all commercial aspects of residential developments from procurement through to final account. Working closely with project and site teams, you’ll ensure projects are delivered on budget, on time, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation of cost plans, budgets, and tender documentation
* Procuring and managing subcontractor and supplier packages
* Managing variations, valuations, and interim payments
* Cost reporting, cash flow forecasting, and financial control
* Ensuring projects comply with contract terms and commercial procedures
* Collaborating with site managers, technical teams, and senior management
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the residential development sector
* Strong knowledge of traditional build methods and housing schemes
* Commercially astute with solid contract and cost control knowledge
* Confident in managing multiple projects simultaneously
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field (or equivalent experience)
