Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (DOE) + £5,000 Car Allowance + Benefits
Are you an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career? This is your chance to progress into a Quantity Surveyor role with a respected main contractor based in Gateshead.
About the Role
You’ll join a friendly and forward-thinking commercial team delivering projects across a variety of sectors, including:
* Commercial refurbishment and new build
* Residential new build
* Heritage and small works
* Partnership agreements
You’ll be responsible for managing the commercial aspects of projects valued between £500k and £2m, ensuring cost control, quality, and performance throughout.

About You
* Strong understanding of quantity surveying principles
* Background in main contracting
* Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management (RICS-accredited preferred)
* Able to independently manage projects and trade packages
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
* Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive
* Proficient in Microsoft Office
* Full UK driving licence
