Quantity Surveyor – Enabling Works and Infrastructure
Location: South West (site-based with travel as required)
Salary: Competitive salary + car allowance + bonus + benefits
Role Overview
Join a respected civil engineering contractor delivering technically demanding enabling works and infrastructure schemes across the South West. The company has built a reputation for high-quality delivery, professional site culture, and long-term project stability.

You’ll be working on large, multi-disciplinary packages involving demolition, bulk earthworks, utilities, and infrastructure enabling. It’s a great fit for a Quantity Surveyor who enjoys being close to site delivery, values teamwork, and wants to grow within a well-established contractor known for investing in people and promoting from within.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full commercial cycle from procurement through to final account
Prepare and review cost reports, valuations, and change control documentation
Support the project team with cost forecasting and cash-flow management
Liaise with delivery teams to ensure commercial and contractual compliance
Measure works, manage subcontract accounts, and maintain accurate records
Identify and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
Contribute to tender reviews, procurement planning, and supplier engagement
What We’re Looking For
Degree, HNC, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering
Experience within enabling works, infrastructure, or heavy civils environments
Strong understanding of NEC contracts and subcontract management
Confident communicator with excellent attention to detail and commercial acumen
Reliable, organised, and able to work proactively within a site-focused team
Full UK driving licence and right to work
