Job Description

Role Overview Our client is a growing contractor within the interiors and passive fire sector, delivering joinery and fire door projects across a range of environments. They are looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, ensuring costs are controlled, risks are managed and projects are delivered in line with contractual requirements. Key Responsibilities • Preparing and analysing cost plans, estimates and tender submissions • Managing valuations, variations and final accounts • Monitoring project costs and maintaining commercial control throughout delivery • Negotiating with clients, subcontractors and suppliers • Managing subcontractor packages, payments and agreements • Supporting procurement and supply chain strategy • Identifying and mitigating commercial risks • Producing accurate financial reports and forecasts • Managing cash flow through timely applications and invoicing • Working closely with operational teams to support project delivery • Ensuring compliance with contractual and internal procedures Candidate Profile • Experience in a Quantity Surveying or Assistant Quantity Surveyor role • Background within construction, joinery or passive fire protection preferred • Strong understanding of valuations, variations and cost reporting • Commercially aware with good attention to detail • Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders • Proficient in Excel and commercial reporting tools What’s on Offer • Competitive salary and package • Ongoing training and development • Clear progression into Senior QS / Commercial roles • Opportunity to join a growing and well-supported team
