Quantity Surveyor
Social Housing Maintenance
Temporary to Permanent
Available ASAP
Resourcing Group (RG Setsquare) is recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established maintenance contractor operating in the social housing sector. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to hit the ground running.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing costs and commercial processes on a variety of planned and reactive maintenance contracts, ensuring value for money and strong financial performance across projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of cost control and financial reporting on maintenance works
Prepare valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
Monitor and manage subcontractor accounts and variations
Support procurement of subcontract packages
Work closely with operational teams to maintain commercial control
Ensure compliance with contract terms and client expectations
Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning
Requirements:
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveying role within social housing maintenance
Strong understanding of maintenance contracts and frameworks
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects
Available for an immediate start or at short notice
