Quantity Surveyor – Super Prime Main Contractor

Location: Hertfordshire (Head Office) with projects across London & the Home Counties
Sector: Super Prime Residential / Luxury Fit-Out

Our client is an up-and-coming super prime main contractor specialising in the delivery of high-end residential developments, luxury refurbishments, and premium fit-out schemes. With a strong reputation for meticulous craftsmanship, exceptional client service, and flawless project delivery, they continue to scale rapidly across the super prime sector. Their head office is based in Hertfordshire, with live projects situated throughout London and the surrounding Home Counties.

The Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of high-value projects, we are seeking a talented Quantity Surveyor to join the commercial team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious QS looking to build a long-term career within the super prime sector, working on exceptional residential schemes ranging from boutique refurbishments to multi-million-pound luxury developments.

Key Responsibilities

  * 

    Manage the full commercial lifecycle across super prime residential and luxury fit-out projects.

  * 

    Prepare, manage, and review tender documentation, cost plans, and bills of quantities.

  * 

    Conduct accurate valuations, variations, cost reporting, and final accounts.

  * 

    Work closely with project managers, designers, subcontractors, and clients to maintain rigorous cost control.

  * 

    Undertake procurement of subcontractors and materials in line with project budgets and timelines.

  * 

    Ensure commercial and contractual compliance across all projects.

  * 

    Provide clear, timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders.

  * 

    Support the business in developing commercial strategies for future growth.

Skills & Experience Required

  * 

    Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within main contracting, ideally with exposure to luxury residential or high-end fit-out sectors.

  * 

    Strong understanding of JCT contracts and standard cost management processes.

  * 

    Exceptional attention to detail and passion for delivering work to the highest standard.

  * 

    Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously and manage changing priorities.

  * 

    Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  * 

    Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (preferred).

  * 

    Full UK driving licence (due to travel within London & the Home Counties).
