The Role
As an R&D Engineer, you’ll join a small, agile team of engineers and technologists developing next-generation energy storage systems. You’ll lead experiments, design test rigs, and help transform cutting-edge concepts into commercially viable products. This is a rare opportunity to combine academic rigour with practical application and your work will directly contribute to the UK’s net-zero future.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Designing and running lab experiments to validate and improve product performance
* Building and automating test rigs
* Collaborating across R&D, software, and product teams to bring ideas to life
* Interpreting test data to inform design decisions and product improvements
* Creating CAD models and engineering drawings for prototyping and production
* Supporting the full development cycle from concept to commercial readiness
About You
* Degree-qualified in Engineering
* Curious, proactive, and comfortable switching between desk and hands-on work
* Confident with SolidWorks
* Familiar with, or keen to learn CFD tools
* Excellent communicator with a sharp eye for detail and a collaborative mindsetBefore You Apply
