Role Overview:
As the R&D Innovation Director, you will be at the helm of our research and development efforts, leading a team of brilliant engineers and scientists fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Your role will be pivotal in identifying emerging sectors and spearheading innovative projects that challenge the status quo. You will drive the exploration of new technologies and ensure our company remains at the cutting edge of the aerospace and automotive industries.
Key Responsibilities:
* Innovation & Development: Oversee the design, development, and testing of innovative aerospace and automotive technologies. Drive the creation of prototypes and the transition from concept to production.
* Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute the R&D/Innovation strategy aligned with the company’s vision and goals. Inspire and mentor a high-performing team of researchers and engineers.
* Collaboration & Partnerships: Foster strong relationships with industry partners, academic institutions, and government agencies. Collaborate on joint ventures and research projects to leverage external expertise and resources.
* Project Management: Manage multiple R&D projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints. Implement best practices in project management and risk assessment.
* Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in aerospace and automotive technologies. Provide technical guidance and support to the team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance.
* Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders. Maintain comprehensive documentation of R&D processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Education: Ph.D. or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in R&D, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the aerospace or automotive sectors.
* Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills. Proven track record of successful project management. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Deep technical knowledge of aerospace and automotive systems.
