Raw Materials Buyer
Job Location: Poole, Dorset
Job Type: Permanent
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 8.30am – 5pm
We are currently recruiting for a Raw Materials Buyer for an established & friendly company based in Poole. Working in a small purchasing team you will be;
* Undertaking the purchasing of raw materials, ensuring best pricing
* Managing purchase orders from start to finish
* Carrying out supplier selection approval, including sourcing new suppliers
* Negotiating with suppliers to agree prices. quantities, delivery schedules,
* Costing and budgeting
* Maintaining inventory & stock management
* Ensuring all quality standards and industry regulations are adhered to
* Communicating across various departments including product development, production, quality, finance etc
The successful candidate will possess;
* Experience of purchasing / buying raw materials, within a manufacturing environment
* Strong supplier management and negotiation skills
* Experience of using MRP / ERP systems
* Experience of working in a regulated environment along with meeting various industry standards
