Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to work for a manufacturing company based in Oakham, Rutland.
Job Details:
Working as a Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to support the shift of (Apply online only)hrs, however some flexibility may be considered.
Shift times are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday
You will support the teams in carrying out material handler duties despatch processes.
You will provide cross-functional support/cover as and when required across all warehouse operation functions as and when workload demands.
Key Accountabilities/Role & Main Responsibilities
Using Reach Forklift truck and also counterbalance trucks
Physical preparation and packing of customer orders,
Stock Maintenance assistance
Loading/unloading lorries,
Highlighting issues/risks with warehouse/forklift systems/processes and propose remedial action/resolutions for discussion/agreement.
Correct/Safe storage of machines and goods, ensuring Safe Working Loads (SWL) are not exceeded
Stock Location/Identification and Storage Management
Salary is up to £13.50ph depending on your experience
About you:
Good experience of stock control dispatch processes
current valid ITTSAR accredited Reach licence essential
ideally also have a valid ITTSAR accredit Counterbalance truck licence.
PLEASE NOTE - In-house certificate holders will not be considered
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
A problem solver and team player, also able to use initiative
Excellent communication skills
Good work ethic
Excels at operating at a fast pace
Flexible, able to work additional hours as and when required which may require occasional weekends
