Job Description

Reach Truck Driver Duties:

Operating Reach Trucks:
Driving and operating reach trucks to move goods within the warehouse.
Using reach trucks to retrieve and store items on high shelves or racks.
Material Handling:
Safely lifting and transporting heavy items.
Ensuring that loads are balanced and secure to prevent accidents.
Loading and Unloading:
Using reach trucks to load and unload goods from delivery vehicles.
Stacking and organizing pallets efficiently.
Safety Compliance:
Conducting pre-operation checks on the reach truck.
Following all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
Reporting any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
Assisting with Other Duties:
Helping with general warehouse tasks when not operating the reach truck.
Collaborating with other team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Technical Skills:
Proficiency in operating reach trucks and other material handling equipment.
Basic computer skills for using inventory management systems.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
Endurance for long periods of standing, walking, and lifting.
Attention to Detail:
Accuracy in checking and recording inventory.
Careful handling of goods to prevent damage.
Teamwork:
Working effectively with other warehouse staff.
Communicating clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
