Role Highlights Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and age-appropriate learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Create a warm, nurturing, inclusive, and stimulating Reception classroom where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn. Support children's development across all areas of the EYFS, including communication and language, physical development, literacy, mathematics, and personal, social, and emotional development. Use play-based learning, practical activities, and child-led opportunities to encourage curiosity, creativity, independence, and a love of learning. Differentiate and adapt learning activities to meet the individual needs, interests, and developmental stages of all pupils. Observe, assess, and track children's progress, using assessment information to inform planning and support next steps. Promote positive behaviour, confidence, resilience, independence, and positive relationships. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and school leaders to provide high-quality learning and pastoral support. Develop positive and professional relationships with parents and carers. Contribute to the wider life of the school, including enrichment activities, events, and whole-school initiatives. About You Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience teaching within a UK primary or Early Years setting. Strong knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and early childhood development. A nurturing, enthusiastic, patient, and creative approach to teaching. Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills. The ability to create an engaging, language-rich, and stimulating learning environment. A strong commitment to supporting children's academic, social, emotional, and personal development. A genuine passion for working with young children and helping them build strong foundations for future learning. The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking ownership of your classroom. ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive full support and mentoring. What's On Offer Full-time Reception Class Teacher position starting September 2026. Choice of a long-term temporary position or temp-to-perm opportunity, subject to the school's requirements.
