Reception Teacher - Primary School - Lewisham
 Start Date: January 2026
 Contract: Full-time, Long-term (5 days per week for the remainder of the academic year)
 Pay: £206-£268 per day (Paid to scale M1-M6, Inner London)

Are you an enthusiastic and committed Primary Teacher looking for a fulfilling long-term role in Early Years? A welcoming and well-resourced Primary School in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated Reception Teacher to join their team from January 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about early childhood development and ready to take on full class responsibilities within a supportive and vibrant school community.

About the Role

Full-time Reception Teacher (5 days per week)

Long-term role from January 2026 until the end of the academic year

Full classroom responsibilities including:

Lesson planning and delivery

Parent-teacher meetings

Participation in staff meetings and ongoing CPD

Paid to scale (M1-M6 Inner London): £206-£268 per day, depending on experience

Strong potential for a permanent contract from September 2026

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential

Experience in Early Years (EYFS) is an advantage, but all strong Primary and Nursery experience will be considered

Confident in delivering engaging, play-based learning

Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

Committed, reliable, and enthusiastic about supporting children's early development
