Reception Teacher – Small Village Primary School based in Redditch
Start: First day of Academic Year September 2025
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Reception teacher to join our charming small village school in Redditch. The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Key Stage 1 (KS1).
This is a full-time position with a class of only 15 children, none of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) or challenging behaviour needs. Our school community is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young learners in Reception.
The Role:
Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons for Reception pupils
Support the development and progress of young children in EYFS and KS1
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment with effective behaviour management
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance pupils’ learning experiences
Conduct a handover with the current Reception teacher during this academic year to ensure a smooth transition
The Ideal Candidate:
Must hold a UK recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/SCITT or BA with QTS)
Recent, relevant experience teaching EYFS and KS1 is preferred
Demonstrates understanding of the KS1 curriculum and developmental needs of early years pupils
Committed to supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in a small village school setting
Possesses effective behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
