Reception Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Nuneaton
Daily Rate: £150 - £210
Start Date: 01/09/2025
Hours: Full Time - 8:00am to 4:00pm (Term Time Only)
Contract: Maternity Cover
We are working with a vibrant, two-form entry primary school in Nuneaton that is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join them from September 2025 to cover a maternity leave. The role is ideal for a teacher who has recently completed their ECT induction and is looking to continue their development in a supportive and forward-thinking setting.
The Role: Reception Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
* Take full responsibility for a Reception class within the EYFS framework
* Plan and deliver engaging, child-led activities that support early learning goals
* Track and assess pupil progress using observation-based assessment
* Create a warm and stimulating classroom environment with a focus on early development
* Work closely with the EYFS team, SENCO and parents to ensure consistent support for all learners
* Uphold safeguarding and behaviour policies in line with school expectations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* QTS and completion of ECT Induction
* Proven experience teaching in an EYFS setting
* A creative and nurturing approach to early years teaching
* Confidence managing classroom routines and individual learning journeys
* Strong communication and collaboration skills with staff and families
* Knowledge of phonics (Read Write Inc or similar) and early maths frameworks
