An exciting opportunity has arisen for an inspiring and enthusiastic Reception Teacher to join a forward-thinking and inclusive primary school located in the heart of Liverpool City Centre. Role Responsibilities:
As a Reception Teacher, you will:
Deliver the EYFS curriculum in a creative, engaging, and age-appropriate way that supports learning through play and structured activities.
Plan and implement high-quality lessons that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles.
Observe, assess, and record each child's progress, using formative and summative assessments to inform planning and support.
Foster strong relationships with children, staff, and families, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
Work alongside experienced Early Years practitioners and support staff to create a safe, stimulating, and supportive environment.
Encourage independence, confidence, and curiosity in all pupils while upholding the school's values and safeguarding responsibilities.
Attend staff meetings, training, and CPD opportunities to continuously develop your professional practice.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience within EYFS, ideally with a strong understanding of Reception-year expectations.
A thorough knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework and child development milestones.
Experience of using assessment tools such as the EYFS Profile or Tapestry (desirable but not essential).
The ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that are inclusive and differentiated to support a range of learners, including SEND and EAL.
A nurturing, patient, and positive approach to teaching, with a clear commitment to child-centred education.
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
Strong organisational, communication, and team-working skills.
