As a reception teacher, you will be expected to:
Have a valid teaching qualification (applications from ECTs are welcome)
Have experience working with young learners in a primary school setting, preferably within the Early Years Foundation Stage or Reception
Hold a current Enhanced DBS certificate (required for working with children)
Be able to provide two professional references to support your application
Bring strong classroom management skills, excellent communication, and a nurturing, child-centred approach to learning, especially suited to the needs of Reception children

Work effectively as part of a team and actively contribute to whole-school improvement initiatives
Maintain high professional standards and demonstrate a committed, reliable work ethic
Draw on Early Years Foundation Stage experience and adapt confidently to new classroom environments
Communicate clearly and stay well-organised, building strong relationships with both children and colleagues
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that supports the progress and development of all Reception children
