Are you a nurturing and experienced Early Years practitioner with a passion for SEND? A vibrant Birmingham primary school is looking for a Level 3 qualified practitioner to support children in Reception with additional needs such as EAL, SALCN, and developmental delays.
This full-time role is ideal for someone who thrives in the Early Years setting and wants to make a lasting difference through targeted SEND support.
What You'll Be Doing:
Support Reception pupils with SEND on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Adapt learning activities to support speech, language and communication needs (SLCN).
Assist pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) to access learning and settle into routines.
Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored support and monitor progress.
Encourage social development, independence, and positive behaviour.Who We're Looking For:
A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
Experience working with children in EYFS with additional needs including EAL, SLCN, or global delay.
A calm, patient approach and strong understanding of child development.
