Job Description
We are recruiting for a Recovery Coordinator - Criminal Justice to join the team on a temporary basis (3 months).
Primary responsibility will be to support individuals identified through the Criminal Justice System in reducing the harms associated with substance misuse.
This is a full-time post based at the service in Manchester. Attendance is required every day.
We are offering hourly rates between £18 - £21 and option to be paid PAYE or Umbrella.
Your new role
Support individuals referred through the Criminal Justice System to reduce substance misuse-related harm.
Contribute to lowering reoffending rates by promoting healthier choices and recovery pathways.
Work directly with service users to encourage social reintegration and community participation.
Enable service users to build meaningful, purposeful lives through resilience, peer support, and self‑determination.
Collaborate closely with the National Probation Service (NPS) from agreed premises.What you'll need to succeed
Excellent understanding of drug and alcohol issues and/or experience working within the criminal justice or related field.
Experience supporting and advising participants facing complex and/or multiple barriers to success.
Experience of working within Criminal Justice Partnerships and/or within a multi‑agency team environment.
Knowledge of effective interventions that reduce drug‑related crime.
Experience conducting full assessments, with the ability to identify, manage, escalate and reduce risks.What you'll get in return
