Recruitment Consultant – Healthcare Sector (Start-Up Desk Opportunity)
Caterham £30,000 – £35,000 basic + uncapped commission - Full-time, Permanent
Are you an experienced Healthcare Recruitment Consultant looking for something more? This is a rare opportunity to build a healthcare desk from the ground up within a well-established recruitment agency that is expanding into this high-demand sector for the first time.
We are a family-run business with over 30 years of success in commercial and technical recruitment and are now looking to grow into the healthcare space. You will have full autonomy to launch and shape this new division, backed by a supportive leadership team, strong infrastructure, and genuine investment in your success.
This is more than a recruitment role, it’s an opportunity to create and grow your own healthcare recruitment offering, with the potential to build and lead a team as the desk scales.
What you will be doing
* Establishing and managing a brand-new healthcare recruitment desk
* Generating new business within the care, medical, and/or social care sectors
* Running a full 360 desk, sourcing candidates, building client relationships, and ensuring full compliance
* Creating efficient systems and processes to support future growth
* Playing a key role in shaping the agency’s healthcare division, with scope to hire and manage your own team in future
What we are looking for
* Proven experience in healthcare recruitment (minimum 2 years)
* Demonstrable success in building your own desk or market from scratch
* A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset – confident in business development and independent working
* Excellent knowledge of compliance in healthcare (DBS, RTW, referencing, safeguarding etc.)
* Strong relationship-building skills and a desire to grow something of your own
* Ambition to progress into a leadership role as the division expands
