Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Elland who are looking for a Night Shift Waste Manager to join their busy team. About The Role: We’re recruiting an experienced Night Shift Manager to manage our client’s night shift at their cutting-edge facility. At this rapidly growing site you are being offered an opportunity to make an impact, build and develop your team, and ensure your shift runs at optimal capacity and capability. Managing a small team of 7 with the opportunity for this to grow. This is a permanent position. Working Sunday to Thursday Night Shift 10pm to 6am. Salary is £30,000 to £35,000 with the potential of this being flexible for the right candidate. Roles and Responsibilities: * Open/close the site and carry out daily inspections. * Arrange, produce, and document shift patterns. * Plan and communicate work plans effectively to your team. * Measure performance and ensure cost and quality KPIs are achieved. * Ensure compliance with company regulations, including working hours, health and safety, and site permitting. * Manage and flex labour resources as needed. * Maintain high standards of warehouse discipline and cleanliness. * Provide training, coaching, and support to the team. * Performance manage staff, including providing motivational leadership and handling disciplinary matters. * Adhere to standard operating procedures, safe systems of work, and other health and safety requirements. * Assist with general maintenance of the site and equipment. * Manage the offloading and loading of vehicles according to the traffic management plan. * Prepare the site for the receipt of existing, new, and projected volumes of material. * Ensure permit requirements are met. About you: * Strong leadership with good interpersonal and people management skills. * Experience managing a team, ideally within the waste recycling industry. * Good problem-solving abilities and adaptability. * WAMITAB COTC Level 4 in hazardous waste treatment/transfer is an advantage but not essential. * Ability to make decisions regarding safety and operational issues. * Self-motivated with team motivational skills. * Proactive with minimal supervision needed.
