Job Description:
The Referral and Compliance Coordinator plays a pivotal supportive role in ensuring high-quality service delivery and growth across Spectrum Children Services’ portfolio of Ofsted-regulated Children’s Homes and Supported Accommodation.
To lead and coordinate referrals and admissions, maintain strong relationships with commissioning bodies, support and monitor staff training compliance, and ensure ongoing regulatory compliance with Ofsted and internal quality assurance standards (including ClearCare system compliance).
Key Responsibilities:
Referrals & Admissions
*
Act as first point of contact for placement referrals.
*
Coordinate pre-admission assessments and liaise with operational teams.
*
Maintain records of placements, rejections, and outcomes.
*
Prepare placement reports and ensure transition plans are documented.
Commissioner & Stakeholder Engagement
*
Build and maintain positive working relationships with commissioners, social workers, and local authorities.
*
Attend and contribute to professional meetings as required.
*
Ensure timely communication and updates to stakeholders regarding referrals and placements.
Training Compliance
*
Oversee staff training matrix and track completion.
*
Liaise with managers to ensure mandatory and refresher training is up to date.
*
Coordinate induction training for new staff and support external training providers as needed.
ClearCare & Regulatory Compliance
*
Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in ClearCare.
*
Monitor compliance indicators, including audits, risk assessments, and daily recording.
*
Assist in preparing for inspections and contributing to action plans post-Ofsted inspections.
Skills and Experience:
*
Experience working in social care, education, or Ofsted-regulated settings
*
Knowledge of Ofsted regulations and children’s residential or supported accommodation
*
Experience with referral and admissions processes
*
Strong IT skills, including ClearCare or similar systems
*
Excellent communication and organisational skills
*
Experience liaising with commissioners and external professionals
*
Qualification in Health & Social Care or Administration
Important Information: Office based in Bury, Manchester - Monday to Friday 25 hours per week.
