Location: North West Based UK-wide (Field-Based)
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £80,000 (DOE)

The Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Commissioning Engineer to join their team. In this field-based role, you will be responsible for the commissioning and performance validation of complex refrigeration systems on industrial and commercial sites. A key focus will be on natural refrigerant (CO₂) systems, requiring deep technical knowledge and a commitment to high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
* Commission a wide range of refrigeration systems, including CO₂ transcritical and cascade systems
* Conduct site acceptance testing, system optimisation, and performance verification
* Diagnose and resolve commissioning-related technical issues
* Collaborate with project engineers, site teams, and end clients to ensure successful handover
* Provide technical guidance and support during installation and commissioning phases
* Complete commissioning reports, documentation, and risk assessments
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental standards
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience commissioning industrial and commercial refrigeration systems
* In-depth knowledge of CO₂ refrigeration technologies (transcritical and/or cascade)
* F-Gas Category 1 certification (mandatory)
* Strong understanding of refrigeration principles, system controls, and pressure testing procedures
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and commissioning documentation
* Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills
* Effective communication and client-facing abilities
* Full UK driving licence
