Refrigeration Engineer
£36k-£42k plus package
Edinburgh
My client are looking for an experienced Refrigeration Engineer to join their team. You’ll be responsible for the service, maintenance, repair, and installation of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across the central belt of Scotland.
Covering the entire range of my clients and other manufactured products, you’ll ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend reactive service calls and carry out fault diagnosis and repairs.
* Undertake planned maintenance and assist with equipment installation and commissioning.
* Take part in the on-call rota for evening and weekend cover.
* Complete accurate job sheets, timesheets, and reports.
* Provide on-site customer demonstrations and support.
* Maintain tools, PPE, and company vehicles to company standards.
* Follow all Health & Safety procedures and company policies.
* Work closely with the Service Manager and wider team to ensure excellent customer service.
Essential Requirements
* NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning.
* C&G 2079 F-Gas (or equivalent CITB certificate).
* Time-served apprenticeship in refrigeration.
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in service and installation work.
* Strong knowledge of electrical and control systems for refrigeration.
* Full, clean UK driving licence.
Desirable
* Engineering SKILLcard.
* Experience with coldroom, retail refrigeration, and air conditioning installations.
