Job Description
Refuge & Dispersed Accommodation Practitioners (Part-Time, 2 Roles)
Leicester | Temp to Perm | £26,421 pro rata | ⏰ 17.5 hrs/week (3 days)
We’re looking for two compassionate and experienced practitioners to join our Safe Accommodation team in Leicester. One role is based in a Refuge, and the other supports clients in Dispersed Accommodation. Both positions involve providing practical and emotional support to people affected by domestic abuse, helping them to rebuild their lives in a safe, stable environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide one-to-one support and safety planning for clients
Manage referrals and maintain accurate, confidential case records
Work closely with housing, health, and welfare agencies
Carry out regular property and safety checks
Ensure all accommodation is safe, well-maintained, and welcoming
Keep monitoring data and reports accurate and up to date
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting vulnerable individuals (domestic abuse or housing experience preferred)
Strong communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills
Knowledge of safeguarding and tenancy management
Empathy, resilience, and the ability to work independently
Hours: 17.5 per week (Refuge: Mon–Fri / Dispersed: Mon–Wed)
Occasional evening and weekend work may be required
Must hold a valid driving licence and pass a DBS check
