Refuge Practitioner (Weekend & Part-Time Roles)

Location: Leicestershire (across multiple sites)

We are seeking committed and reliable Refuge Practitioners to support the delivery and day-to-day running of refuge accommodation services. These roles focus on ensuring a safe, well-managed, and supportive environment.

 Available Positions

Weekend Refuge Practitioner 

Hours: 13 hours per week
Working Pattern: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Leicester City (across two sites)
Salary: £14-18 Dependent on Pay Status 

 Weekend Refuge Practitioner 

Hours: 27.5 hours per week
Working Pattern: Saturday & Sunday, 8:00am - 4:00pm
Location: Leicestershire
Salary:  £14-18 Dependent on Pay Status 

Refuge Practitioner 

Hours: 30.5 hours per week
Working Pattern:
Saturday & Sunday: 8:00am - 4:00pm
Monday - Wednesday: shifts between 8:30am - 6:30pm
Location: Leicester City 
Salary:  £14-18 Dependent on Pay Status  Temporary to Permanent (Temp to Perm) - with the intention to become permanent subject to performance and funding.

 You will contribute to the effective operation of refuge accommodation services by providing practical and organisational support, ensuring a safe and structured environment.

 Key Responsibilities

Support the day-to-day delivery and smooth running of refuge accommodation services
Manage referrals, admissions, and maintain accurate, confidential records
Provide structured support and facilitate group sessions/meetings
Work across multiple sites and liaise with external agencies as required
Contribute to service coordination, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Support volunteers and work collaboratively within the wider team
Maintain confidentiality at all times and follow all policies and procedures
Work flexibly, including weekends, evenings, and bank holidays where required Essential Requirements

Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months

Flexibility to meet service needs
Experience working in a support, housing, or similar setting
Understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
Strong organisational and communication skills
